Book of the Week #36

|

Despite seeming like an interesting novel, Dizz Tates Brutes seems to have middling reception online. On average, it seems to skirt around the three-star territory, which I did not expect considering I have seen it popping up a lot on social media across the last couple of years.

This novel, at its core, appears to be a coming of age story and one of girlhood. It centres around the disappearance of a preacher’s fourteen-year-old daughter, who seems to garner a fanclub or admiring group of younger girls.

To be honest, I would read into the contents of this book further, but I fear spoiling some significant story elements for myself. Nevertheless, it seems interesting and mysterious, so I will put it on my extensive TBR list.
